Hi!
When you create an article which contains only text, it'd be great when two things happened:
-the commenting (prev/next) field should be apparent.
-in the archive-view the content of the article (the text), is cut off to the format of the picture-thumbnails, like in this example: http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/2283/unbenanntuws.jpg
..or is there any other proper way to publish solo-text-articles?

no, not really. iq2 was meant to be a pure photoblog theme. so it does not really foresee text entries (apart from pages, where you can put whatever you want, e.g. the about page or the newly possible static front page).
one thing you can already do is put the text you want shown on the archive page and on the next prev links into the excerpt for each text post. that should already help a little bit and make it look less ugly...
btw, i am not sure whether you saw it already but i updated iq2 and included your suggestion from the other post. so you no longer have to make the hack to get rid of the main image link.
that's all i can do for you / offer you right now. i am just leaving for vacation...

aaah - awesome, this basically does exactly what i want :-)
could you add one thing: when you create a NORMAL article, the commenting/description field should be OPEN by default for the FIRST entry you see, when you open the blog (this is basically the same wish as in my other thread: http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/topic/no-batch-in-photoqbatchphp#post-383). otherwise user had no chance to comment on the entry, if they didn't reopen it via the archive (THEN commenting/description field IS open!)

I found a solution to this problem.. you can just add a simple text-link after your text-only entry, which will open the commenting field.
when you create a text-only entry as a normal ARTICLE you will see a "permalink" just beneath the title of your entry (after you wrote something in the textfield..) it will look like this:
http://yourblog/?p=xxx xxx being the article-number
the link you want to insert, should look like this:
http://yourblog/?p=xxx#respond (so you add #respond to the permalink). users will open the commenting/description field by clicking on this link.
this would be an easy solution for text only.. i couldn't figure out a similar solution for pictures, though :-(
any ideas?
