tiny thumbnails in excerpt view?

I have a very new wordpress site that I'm working on. Wordpress version is 2.8.4 and PhotoQ version is 1.8.2. I have the following settings in PhotoQ

image sizes:
thumbnail
maximum dimensions 150x100

main
maximum dimensions 500x325

giant
maximm dimensions 800x600

views:
content
image link main linking to giant

excerpt
single photo thumbnail

However, for some reason, my thumbnails on the first page of my site are incredibly tiny. I've verified that changing the "main" image size definitely affects the size of the image on the post pages themselves, but nothing I do to the thumbnail image size seems to make any difference. I suppose it's possible that this my theme screwing it up somehow, but I thought I'd check here first.
Looking at the source of my front page, based on the name of the class in the img tag, it sort of seems like it's displaying my images using the content view, but that could just be confusion on my part. http://madeyourlunch.com/ is the site, if you wanna look at it yourself.

hi,

yes, the image shown on the page you linked to is the main one. probably because your theme shows the_content on this page.

however, what you see is a downsized version that is 40px wide because your theme restricts it to this width in its css stylesheet:
