resolvedHi! I just uploaded new version of iQ2 and PhotoQ. Before I upgraded however, I had my images arranged a certain way. Ten images per category so that the images were evenly displayed five on top, five on bottom.
But now the first slot is empty. Does not look uniform. I counted to make sure that there wasn't an image missing. All are accounted for.
Anyway to fix that? I don't feel comfortable showing to clients this way.

your blog looks kind of different from a standard iq2 setup. normally iq2 shows the last posted photo on the frontpage, in your case it seems to be the first posted. further, the first posted photo (the one on your frontpage) doesn't seem to have a thumbnail, you can see this by the missing thumb of the previous button of this post: http://battle-studios.com/?p=538 .
on your gallery page it is the other way round, the photos posted last are shown first as it is also the case with standard iq2. one exception is the frontpage photo (the one with the missing thumb) that shows as first entry (thus leaving an empty spot).
now, did you make any customizations to the iq2 theme? because i cannot really explain all of this otherwise. if not, could you create a user to your site for me and send me credentials via email such that i can have a look?
Sorry for the delay. No I did not customize anything and yes! It did seem strange to me that the images go in reverse. I added you as a user. Will send info via e-mail.
thanks i got the login and it works. however, i only seem to have subscriber rights, which means i cannot see anything. can you give me admin rights? it is in the user settings under roles.

i just checked and the problem is because of the very first post that you posted and that you made sticky. iq2 doesn't like that (something that i learned myself ;-) ).
if you take away the very first post that you posted on your site, you will see that iq2 behaves as it should. to see what i mean you don't have to delete the first post, just make it a draft such that it doesn't show up on the page. you can later make it public again and you won't loose anything and the page goes back to like it is right now.
the thing is that iq2 was not designed for a static frontpage but it rather shows your latest photo. if you try to force a static frontpage by creating a sticky post like you did it messes up the site. right now i don't really see an easy way of achieving a static frontpage without hacking and some programming. i might however consider adding an option for a static frontpage to a future version of iq2 if this is strongly desired.
right now the only option i see for your site to look how it should is to make above said post a draft or remove it completely...

That is interesting. Well I'm glad that it wasn't a "your keyboard isn't plugged in" type problem! I think for now I'm going to keep it the way it is. The image on the front page is nice and clean without any image description. I can live with the thumbnails because if you go into the categories they are in place. Maybe it is something that you will find to update somewhere down the line.
I do have one more thing though. The previous and next buttons are opposite? For instance if you go into gallery and click on the first image you have to hit the previous button on the left to move to the next image. It's interesting though if you click on my copyright information underneath the image it does forward to the next image.
I couldn't find anything in settings that would indicate whether to shuffle left or right. Despite all these things I'm hooked on your design and pushing forward with my uploads!

i'll add the static frontpage to my todo list.
concerning previous/next buttons: "previous" means previous/earlier in time, which i guess is the standard way to browse most photoblogs (remember iq2 is a photoblog theme). in the gallery the photos are also shown newest first. so yes, if you want to go from the newest photo (the first in the gallery) to the second newest (the second one in the gallery) you have to hit previous.
if this really doesn't suit you, you can hack a change
