For a couple of days I am getting this error message on WP 2.84 and PhotoQ 1.8
:

Queued post "xyz": The photo "xyz.jpg" could not be found at "/home/xxx/xxx/wp/wp-content/imgdir/qdir/xyz.jpg

I removed the queue and re-uploaded the images but to no avail.

This happens after the image in question was posted correctly - for whatever reason it remains on top of the queue, with the error message. Since the image is moved after posting - that would be logical - so what is causing the post to remain in the queue?

do you have this problem only with one specific image? or with all your images?

It's an ongoing problem with every image - right now PhotoQ is making about as much work as going in and posting a new pic every morning.
I deleted the plugin and re-installed it again, but to no avail.
Only thing I haven't done yet is to also delete the entries in the database and
do a re-install.
It seems to be stuck in an evil loop... ;)

ok, but i am not quite sure whether we are talking about the same thing. is the image in the error message, i.e. xyz.jpg in your example above always the same?

if yes you probably have a single stale entry in the database table corresponding to your queue. you could try to look at the database table called "photoq" (plus the wordpress database prefix). if you find a corresponding entry in there you could then try to delete it manually. this doesn't tell us what caused it in the first place but at least your photoq might be back to normal afterwards.

No - it's not always the same - it's always the one that is queued to be posted.

I will now attempt to delete the PhotoQ entries in the database and then re-activate the plugin.
Will let you know if that did the trick.

Didn't work - now I get these error messages, when uploading a new batch via FTP:

WordPress database error: [Unknown column 'Array' in 'where clause']
SELECT * FROM wp_photoq2cat WHERE q_fk_img_id = 1 AND category_id = Array

WordPress database error: [Unknown column 'Array' in 'field list']
INSERT INTO wp_photoq2cat (q_fk_img_id, category_id) VALUES (1, Array)

i guess you didn't empty the photoq2cat column as well. my bad. sorry.

the best would be if you could empty your queue (which i guess you already did), and then empty the wp_photoq, wp_photoq2cat, wp_photoqbatch (probably already empty), wp_photoqmeta tables. you can leave the wp_photoqfields table. you can also drop these tables, they should be recreated automatically. just make sure to not drop any other (non photoq) tables with similar names by accident (or at least have a backup ready in case you do)

once you did that you might also want to update to photoq 1.8.1.

Possible that your initial problem was caused by this bug as well: http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/topic/random-posting-order

So, once you emptied these database tables, please try with 1.8.2 and not with 1.8.1 as suggested in my last answer above.

Well - I just installed 1.82 - so I can't yet tell if the problem is solved.
However with 1.8 the error was happening again - even after a complete table dump and re-install and introducing a new queue.
I let you know how it works out with 1.82

I still do have the problem. And it seems that moving the images from the queue directory to it's final destination is the perpetrator. It appears that the images is being moved to e.g. the original folder during the scheduled posting process, and then the process tries to remove it again from the queue, albeit unsuccessfully - resulting in the error message.
I can give you access to my site and phpadmin if you would like to take a look.

update to anyone following this topic: klaus and me found that this problem was due to an incompatibility with the "Publish to Facebook" plugin.
