Description entries that contain "quotation marks" are not escaped before being entered in to the DB. This seems to cause the actual database entry for the description to become mangled. This could also be the opposite, the marks are being escaped before DB entry, but are not unescaped for posting.
Quotation marks are not excaped.

i am not able to reproduce your problem. using wp 3.0.1 with the default theme and photoq 1.9 with its default settings.
can you please tell me your exact setup when the problem occurs? thanks.
