there is a way. however, this is not something you can configure somewhere, but you need to modify the template files. this means that you need to know at least html/css.
if you do, to add an image to the header you have to modify the iq2/header.php file and add the html to show the image directly where you want it inside the <body> part.
to make the header larger (which probably means making the whole layout larger) you need to change the css file of the theme. i guess that for that to work out, you will have to adjust quite a few of the width related css tags.
concerning the posts not showing up, can you send us a link to your page so that we can see what the problem is?
