Main photo should link to next image

I have a blog with one photo per page and post - wenedeux.com/blog . To switch between the posts one has to click on the "next"-arrow. But with the size of the pictures also changes the position of this arrow. So you cant just blindly click somewhere, just watching the photos.
That's why it would be cool if the image itself could link to the next post/picture. So this way you only would have to click somewhere on the picture. Even better: left side of the picture: previous post, right sight: next post.

Oh and thx for this great plugin!

thanks for the suggestion. you are right, this might definitely be helpful.

however, i guess you could already have it right now by putting something like this in your template (untested):
```
<?php
  $prevPost = get_previous_post();
  $prevURL = get_permalink($prevPost->ID);
  if($prevURL) echo '<a href="' . $prevURL .'">';
  echo get_the_content();
  if($prevURL) echo '</a>';
?>
```
this puts the link to the next post around the content of the post. now if the content comes from photoq and is set to "single image", it will contain the photo and thus produce what you want.

After understanding where to put it and what to delete, it worked like a charm. Thanks!

But only with a single post. It happens that I use pages with one post (photo) on them. So it didnt work there. A friend of mine helped again and used jQuery to jump to the next page:

Into the header.php

	var targetURL = jQuery('#content div.wp-pagenavi > span.current').next('a').attr('href');
	if (!targetURL) {

And into the index.php

   the_content('Read the rest of this entry �');
   echo '</a>';
?>

You have to load jQuery first (have a look at the jQuery side how to do that)

cool, i am glad it worked. and thanks a lot for sharing your solution.

however i don't understand the part of your post where you say it doesn't work on some pages....

also, the jquery solution you posted above looks incomplete (maybe a copy-paste problem?)
as far as i can guess what your solution is doing right now is
1. Read the url of the next post from the wordpress navigation
2. attach a nextPage() function to the link wrapping around the image
3. upon call to nextPage() redirect user to next post url
here is why i say the above solution is incomplete
1. init() function doesn't do anything. it is empty
2. nextPage() function never called or attached to anything
3. link around the_content has no target, no attributes, nothing

after checking the options i came to the conclusion that this should not be part of photoq, but that this is rather the task of the theme. photoq can at the time the post is published only know what the previously posted post is at this specific time. assume that you later delete the post it links to - it will probably create a mess, unless photoq also keeps track of changes like this, which is again messy. so it is much cleaner to do something like this on the theme level by inserting something along the lines i posted above.
