Hi, I was not able to figure out how to get keyword data from images int post tags.
I set keyword for image in picasa, tried to get that data with plugin but it did not work.
I assume that feature is not implemented, am I correct?
If it's not implemented, would I be able to extend exif function to grab that data and load into post tags?
depends on where this keyword info is stored. in an exif field? in an iptc field? in a separate database?
photoq already knows how to read exif info and it soon will be able to read iptc data as well.
however, if picasa stores this kind of information separately from the image, then there is obviously no easy way. so it really depends on how picasa handles this.
do you happen to know? or can you make a picture where you entered keywords available so that i can check?

I just checked, picasa and lightroom write IPTC.
how far away are you with IPTC implementation? If far, you can tell me what needs to be done, I will get my developer to do it.
I need this functionality since I like to manage image tags outside of WP.
just hate develop it and not have other people to have the benefit.
well it is the next item on my list. so it is planned for the next release. but i don't have an exact date for this yet.
if you need this earlier you can always try to commission this to me and we'll see what can be done :-) in this case just send me an email so we can discuss it.
