Hi,
i have a new installation of Wordpress 3.0 and i have installed Photoq 1.9, but when i try to activate the plugin i have thi error:
Fatal error: Class 'RO_OptionController' not found in /home/mhd-01/www.xxxxxxxx.xxx/htdocs/mydog/wp-content/plugins/photoq-photoblog-plugin/classes/option/PhotoQ_Option_OptionController.php on line 9
I have try with WP 3.0 and 3.0.1.

probably a bad upload to your server. can you try to redownload the plugin and reupload it to your server. on your server the folder photoq-photoblog-plugin/lib/ReusableOptions/ is probably missing right now.

Hi, all file are uploaded. I have try the same "installation" of wordpress in local "easyphp" and it work correctly. If i upload it to the hosting space, dont' work and i get the error. I try to upload in more than one domain on the same hosting provider, and it don't work.
The hosting is configured to use php 5.2.0. I think there is some problem in the class loader procedure. If i insert "require_once" entry for the "RO_OptionController.php" in the file PhotoQClassLoader.php, i get error for another class.

ok, so then i guess that on your server the Standard PHP Library (SPL) is disabled for some reason. the spl is required by (you guessed it right :-)) the photoq class loader.
you can check this via a phpinfo() output where you should have an SPL section with an entry saying ´SPL support: enabled´
if you don't find such an entry in phpinfo() you may want to ask your host whether they could enable SPL for you (as of PHP 5.3 it will anyway no longer be possible to disable it).

what output do you get if you add the line
echo $class .": " . $file2Include . "<br/>";
to the file PhotoQClassLoader.php just after line 36 that says
$file2Include = $this->_namingConvention->getPath($class);
and then navigate in your browser to the 'manage photoq' page ?

I have found some differences between the hosting SPL library classes and my test environment.
This classes are not present on hosting provider settings:

thanks. the output you provided is already very helpful, we are getting closer. so what if you add this
echo $this->_namingConvention->getPath($class) . "<br/>";
as the first line of the autoload() function (line 32) in the same file? (you can delete what you added according to my earlier post).
regardin the spl differences, i right now guess that this is fine and not causing the problem.

hmmmm, looks like the class loader for the options library does not get loaded. could you add this line to the end of the file PhotoQClassLoader.php and tell me the output it generates?

the array should at this point have 4 elements and not only 2 like in your case. really looks like in your case the second class loader (that is used for options) does not get loaded.
can we try what happens when we load the second class loader first? to do so you can keep the var_dump statement at the end of the PhotoQClassLoader.php file. Then you cut the line that says
$reusableOptionsLoader = new PhotoQClassLoader(new PhotoQClassNamingConvention(PHOTOQ_PATH.'lib/ReusableOptions/classes/', 'RO_', '_'));
and paste it before the lines that say
//set up the class loader and register the callbacks by creating an instance
$photoQLoader = new PhotoQClassLoader(new PhotoQClassNamingConvention(PHOTOQ_PATH.'classes/', 'PhotoQ_', '_'));such that the end of your file looks somewhat like this
$reusableOptionsLoader = new PhotoQClassLoader(new PhotoQClassNamingConvention(PHOTOQ_PATH.'lib/ReusableOptions/classes/', 'RO_', '_'));
//set up the class loader and register the callbacks by creating an instance
$photoQLoader = new PhotoQClassLoader(new PhotoQClassNamingConvention(PHOTOQ_PATH.'classes/', 'PhotoQ_', '_'));

The "var_dump(spl_autoload_functions());" line is present but there is no output.
ok that was exactly what i suspected and it confirms my hypothesis from before. in your case only the first of the two class loaders gets registered. so there seems to be a problem with the spl_autoload functions. the question is just what and why...

hehe, a million dollar question :D
why nobody other has this problem? why i have the problem in "this" hosting provider only? In local environment all is work.
I suppose that it can be the configuration of php in the hosting provider.

Or probably is a BUG in PHP 5.2. I check http://bugs.php.net/ and there is some bug in SPL autoload fixed in version 5.3.
it really seems to be a bug in php 5.2.0. here is a corresponding bug report and apparently the bug has since been fixed:
so there is unfortunately not much i can do...i guess you will have to find a way to update your php version.

Yeahh, at the end we find where is the problem.
With latest CVS snapshot of php 5.2.0 all is working (testing environment). I will contact the hosting provider if they can update the php with a fixed version.
