lisa,

i am not 100% sure what you mean.

- multiple photos in the same post are right now not possible. although it has been asked (and promised) multiple times, i still don't have such a feature ready. see, e.g., http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/topic/possible-to-post-que-to-one-entry-instead-of-one-picture-per-entry

- creating a gallery of thumbs, is explained, e.g., here: http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/topic/photoq-gallery

i hope that one of the two bullets above covers your question.

Lisa writes:

Is there a way to set a gallery of thumbnails when pics are linked to multiple blogs rather than each pic showing as individual blog post? I'd like to "gang" (old print slang) in a horizontal space the thumbnails if that makes any sense. Any suggestions?

did you check out the photoQImageSizes custom field. sth like this is probably what you want:

$sizes = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'photoQImageSizes', true);
echo $sizes['main']['imgTag'];

check out the views and themes section (towards the end of the section) here: http://www.whoismanu.com/photoq-wordpress-photoblog-plugin/#views

I'm loving PhotoQ.
I'm in the process of heavily altering the Viewport theme.

Because I want some posts to be text w/ a small photo & others to just be a photo, I need to independently style the images i upload through PhotoQ. So... How do I just request the "main" image in my php file?

Similar situation for the excerpt. How do I just get the thumbnail that PhotoQ created for the post?

Thanks,
KLM

- nothing else works: probably your host blocked that, so you can't set with htaccess.
- concerning the warning. what version of photoq are you using? with the latest version 1.8.3 you shouldn't have a warning with wp 2.8.6.
- if i can do the math you should have 128M which is indeed quite high
- how big are your images? do you use watermarks? can you still try to upload a small image to see whether it works then.
- do uploads work with batch uploads disabled?

HELP!!!
My PhotoQ stopped working!
I updated it, and now I use the latest version of WP and PhotoQ but no thumbnails appear!
I've checked the chmod, files and directories, I also resetted the database and reinstalled everything but nothing appened, I still have the same problem.

Lookind at the html code I see that the thumb's code is:

<img src="http://mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/photoq-photoblog-plugin/lib/phpThumb_1.7.9/phpThumb.php?src=/web/htdocs/mysite.com/home/wp-content/imgdir/qdir/image.jpg&h=90&w=200" alt="image.jpg">

Ok, now I am posting like a spaz.. but changing the memory limit fixed it when I manually push out posts in the photoQ admin. But the cron still fails with the same error.

Is there a seperate memory limit for the cron ?

This actually just started happening to me today. I dont have any special SSL settings. I do however have alot of pictures uploaded already. THe weird thing is it was working perfectly fine, I was uploading a couple folders of pictures, then all of a sudden this same exact problem began. I tried the links above but they dont work.

It lets me upload the pictures, I ftp in and see the pictures on the server, but then when you click to the next page with the batch info, its just blank and it never ads them to the queue.

just tried on my windows machine. setup the same structure you have. for me this works perfectly fine:
http://localhost/testsite.co.za/wp-content/plugins/photoq-photoblog-plugin/lib/phpThumb_1.7.9/phpThumb.php?src=C:/xampp/htdocs/testsite.co.za/wp-content/photoQImages/qdir/Winter.jpg&h=90&w=200

so i am not sure this actually was the problem. however, if it resolves the issue in your case i guess we are fine as well :-)

The version on the server works so that would not help however I think I have made a small breakthrough which maybe you could confirm...

On my local machine the site sits in a folder called testsite.co.za eg C:/Web/Apache2/htdocs/testsite.co.za/wp-content/photoQImages/qdir/testimage.jpg&h=90&w=200

I made another folder called testsite (so I dropped the .co.za) with an exact copy of files etc and now I can see the images on my local machine.

Do you think this could be it or is it just a lucky this time

Pointing directly to the url does the same as in the admin area. In Firefox it shows nothing in Chrome it shows a broken image picture, however if I right click on the broken image pic and say open in new tab then it opens the image from qdir

what happens if you point your browser directly at the thumbnail url?

in your case this url should be something of the form http://yourblogurl/wp-content/plugins/photoq-photoblog-plugin/lib/phpThumb_1.7.9/phpThumb.php?src=C:/Web/Apache2/htdocs/testsite.co.za/wp-content/photoQImages/qdir/testimage.jpg&h=90&w=200

Hi Everyone

I am having an issue where phpThumb is not showing thumbnails in the admin area on my local install.

Using:

Windows XP
Apache 2.0.59
PHP 5.2

Everything seems to work fine, images get uploaded to correct locations and the path that phpThumb points to as the source is correct. (It uses something like src=C:/Web/Apache2/htdocs/testsite.co.za/wp-content/photoQImages/qdir/testimage.jpg&h=90&w=200)

I get no errors just no image is displayed.

Any thoughts

Regards
