Dear Whoismanu,

After uploading and clicking on 'activate' on the WordPress plug-in page I receive a fatal error message:

"Fatal error: Class 'RO_OptionController' not found in /services10/webpages/c/a/carefreegreenery.com/public/wordpress/wordpress-content/plugins/photoq-photoblog-plugin/classes/option/PhotoQ_Option_OptionController.php on line 9"

I am using firefox browser 3.6.13, windows 7 home edition, photoq v 1.9 and WP 3.1

When I search for the error on the remote server I find [PhotoQ_Option_OptionController.php].

On looking at line nine in that file I find this: 'class PhotoQ_Option_OptionController extends RO_OptionController implements PhotoQSingleton'.

I have miniscule knowledge of PHP.

Can you suggest a solution from this information? I would dearly love to use your plug in for our landscaping business asap.

Regards, Donald

Hello, its a me again xD,

since two days i got the error a lot of people had. Symptoms are after clicking post one or whole queue the site refresh and shows no content (perhaps of the admin sidebar and header). After some other trials i read in this forum and tried the memory script and when i read it right i have enough memory, but still the photos will not be published.

P.S. got a new idea and it shows to be a very strange "bug"? I got photos from 2 different cams and the queue only post photos from on of the cameras and ignores every other picture. And the photos aren't post because of diffrent big sizes; some of the ignored pictures are smaller than the posted. The filenames aren't very different except a suffix.

P.S.S. After enabling the error_reporting:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 49020928) (tried to allocate 3732 bytes) in /web/1/000/048/282/188579/htdocs/blog/wp-content/plugins/photoq-photoblog-plugin/lib/phpThumb_1.7.9/phpthumb.functions.php on line 372
(it's in the ImageCreateFunction function but i don't see a loop or mem problem.

in iq2 it is done with the following code in the loop

<a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>"><?php echo get_the_excerpt(); ?></a>

the thumb shown there is pulled in from the excerpt (through the get_the_excerpt() function) so the corresponding view is the excerpt view (since here only the image is required you don't need the freeform field, but one of the single image options is enough).

the freeform is needed if you go with the other option that was described by adam in the post i linked to above.

you should be able to do this e.g. with the php execution plugin. read the following thread starting from the entry posted by adammurphy, it should show you how to do it:

http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/topic/how-to-edit-image-links-alt-title-tags

alternatively, you could also have a call to the_permalink in you theme like it is done e.g. in the iq2 theme.

ok, so the posts are gone from the queue, that might already tell us sth.

however, i am not sure i got your answer to my second question. the 2009/10 subfolders are not really what i was interested in (these are from standard wp uploads as far as i can tell). i was wondering about the imgdir/thumbnail/2009_10 folder? does an image appear there for posts that failed?

I've not had this problem with manual posts from PhotoQ (but then, I hardly use the manual option).

No, the file does not get posted back to the queue - as far as it's concerned, the post has happened successfully.

I've just done a test and uploaded a photo that didn't get posted again and waited for the Cron Job to kick in... this time, it worked fine (so it's not the file name or image size).

As far as I can tell, all images that could not be posted are still in the imgdir - but not in a year/month subfolder (it has 2009 and a subfolder 10, but they're empty).

No error messages appear when the post gets made, the only thing I can see is the blue image with red text instead of the image, saying "image (title) could not be found" - same as I get when I try to rebuild the image.

hmmm, weird. because normally the posting process is the following:

1. move files
2. if successful insert post into wp db

so i would rather expect the inverse :-) but for this case the process goes on like this
3. if insert not successful, move files back

so the only explanation i have right now is that 1. is ok, 2. as well but photoq is mislead in step 3 that 2 was not ok and moves the files back...

when this happens, does the entry in quesiton remain in the photoq queue?
what about the other image sizes apart from the orginal? does the thumbnail get moved to the imgdir/thumbnail/yyyy_mm/filename.jpg folder?
does it only happen with cronjobs? if not, what error messages do you get if you post manually and it happens?

I'm running Wordpress 2.8.5 with PhotoQ 1.8.2. All works well with a Cron Job... most of the time!

It looks like, about one in 5 images doesn't get posted. The post gets created, but the actual file doesn't get copied into the "original" folder. If I move it manually, the image gets displayed fine.

At first I thought this had to do with image sizes, but they're all 1200 pixels wide or lower, and around 400kb. Then I thought, maybe it's certain characters in the file names (like brackets), but they seem to be unconnected.

Leading up to this problem, I got an error message about low memory (used to be 32MB, probably using too many plugins) so I've increased it server wide to 128MB in my php.ini.

I've been using earlier versions of PhotoQ with earlier versions of Wordpress, and this issue hasn't happened before.

Any thoughts? Could this be a bug?

My setup:
Virtual Server, running CentOS 32bit
PHP version 5.1.6
current PHP Memory: 128MB
ImageMagick is installed (latest version)

Just did a new install of Wordpress and PhotoQ. Everything works correctly through uploading photos and editing the information.

When I select "Post Whole Queue" or "Post Top of Queue" in Wordpress dashboard -> Posts -> PhotoQ the dashboard page goes blank (sidebar and header are still there, but no content, although none of the effects seem to work like expanding a section on the sidebar). The photo(s) are not posted.

I don't see any errors being reported even with PHOTOQ_DEBUG_LEVEL set to PHOTOQ_SHOW_PHP_ERRORS. Manually calling wimpq-cronpost.php also results in no errors being reported and no photos being posted.

Any ideas on if this is a setup issue?

PHP: v4.4.9
Wordpress: v2.8.4
PhotoQ: v1.8

For some reason, PhotoQ refuses to post the Queue. Regardless of whether I try “post top” or “post whole” it just sits there for a few seconds, then loads a blank screen. When I click on the PhotoQ tab on the Post menu, everything reappears, without having created a new post.

For the people who edited as well and tend to forget that your post is still private (IQ2 theme does not prefix the post with "Private:") I've written a small plugin that helps you remind: http://www.cvanmeer.nl/photo/plugins/private-reminder.zip (still waiting for the SVN access of Wordpress)
