I am just curious if this plugin is still supported or is there a plan for the support to return? The author has not posted in the forum for 3 months now. I am using Beta version and trying to live with the bugs for a while now.

This plugin is really amazing. There are few other plugins so well thought out and comprehensive.

However if the current beta is that last release, I would like to know. The bugs in the beta are difficult to live with long term.

Hi,

I need to add to the photo info box the login of the user who uploaded certain photo to be displayed in the frontend. Something like "Taken by: ..." between description and tags. It would be nice if clicking the login could display all photos taken by the particular author.

Is there an option for it or is it a future feature? Or maybe it's not difficult to add knowing PHP? Any hint will be very appreciated.

Hi, I am using PhotoQ for a art student website (chelseadegreeshow.org/2011test), and am very happy with it so far, and (importantly) anticipate that the users will find it easy enough to use themselves.

For a different website I want a way to help the users upload and embed other filetypes (mainly pdfs). A simple procedure for me (create post, upload pdf to standard WP directory, copy URL and paste into shortcode, add tags etc and publish. BUT the users are saying that's hard... It strikes me that this is what PhotoQ does, except only for photos - and that would be a real help to me too. I wondered if (a) you think PhotoQ <u>might</u> be adaptable in this way, and (b) if you could point me in the right direction - eg which plugin files might be usable unchanged, and where I would have to tweak. Thanks!

Hi All, I have installed Photoq 1.9 with IQ2 1.3 and have no other plugins installed yet. I'd like to install some widgets for the sidebar but the /wp-admin/widgets.php page gives me the message:

'No Sidebars Defined' The theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware...

It's a me Mar... ehm DeBing xD

I got something new about the PhotoQ Plugin:
I have discovered problems/incompatibilities with a lot of other plugins. It seems that it is not possible to run PhotoQ with other plugins which modificate posts like the "Like" or the "GD star rating" plugin. The new plugins work properly but you can't post any photos from the queue (blank site will be shown) and i really have 80M free RAM (using the "http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-memory-usage/" plugin too see this). The other plugins and wordpress uses up to 45M from 128M and so i don't think its an memory issue. The GD-Lib will not use more than 90M for creating thumbnails and adding a watermark. I couldn't test imagemagick because of my webhoster so i have no alternative to temporarily deactivate the plugins i would pleased to use. Second i
would be interested if some other could test if they can run Wordpress + PhotoQ + Like + GD star rating without problems.Ph

Hello,
I moved my website to a new server, and how i have the old folder path to wp_postmeta for the files that i inserted with photoq. I already tried to rebuild all from the photoq plugin, but without success.

For example my old path was /mnt/website/wordpress/ and now i have /home/stefan/wordpress

Can you help me with that? Or do you have a batch script for sql to modify that?

I have developed a photoblog site to automatically receive and display webcam images using WordPress 2.9.2, the PhotoQ 1.8.3 plugin, and the iQ2 1.2.3 theme. Everything is beautiful except for uploading images from the directory on the server where the camera sends them.

The issue is this: PhotoQ's option to batch upload images from a directory on the server fails. Although set up to be triggered by a cron job, the upload fails even when initiated manually.

The manual process goes like this: On the PhotoQ post page, I choose Select Photos, then from the selection page choose Import from FTP Directory. I get a list of files in the FTP directory and fields to enter common info. I add info, check off the images I want, and press Import/Enter Info. At this point, if the single post process is an indicator, it should show the images being processed. Instead, it goes straight to the Save Batch Info page, and when that button is pressed, back to the PhotoQ post page saying that the queue is still empty - and in fact no files have been uploaded. There are no error messages anywhere in this process.

Some context details:
1) uploading manually one at a time using the single post option and selecting the image through the File Open dialog works fine.

2) the option to allow uploading from an FTP directory has been enabled.

3) batch uploading has been switched both on and off: same result either way;

4) memory shouldn't be a problem - the files are small (640x480, 60-70k) and the number of files makes no difference.

5) the FTP upload directory has been correctly configured (PhotoQ can see the files) and has the broadest possible permission set (777);

6) the 4/12/10 patched version of PhotoQ.php has been installed;

7) the issue is exactly the same in my customized almost-ready-for-prime-time (except for this issue) hosted version of my site and in a minimal, stripped-down (just WP, PhotoQ, and iQ2 - no other plug-ins, no modifications) local version, which should eliminate both my theme customizations and my host as culprits. Host is Linux-based, local is Windows-based.

I've run out of ideas to check. Any direction would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello, its a me again xD,

since two days i got the error a lot of people had. Symptoms are after clicking post one or whole queue the site refresh and shows no content (perhaps of the admin sidebar and header). After some other trials i read in this forum and tried the memory script and when i read it right i have enough memory, but still the photos will not be published.

P.S. got a new idea and it shows to be a very strange "bug"? I got photos from 2 different cams and the queue only post photos from on of the cameras and ignores every other picture. And the photos aren't post because of diffrent big sizes; some of the ignored pictures are smaller than the posted. The filenames aren't very different except a suffix.

P.S.S. After enabling the error_reporting:

Hi

I am very new to wordpress and setting up themes. But I want to create my own photoblog and was facinated with PhotoQ. Currently I am working on my site on local machine with WAMPSERVER running on WinXP, Wordpress 2.8.4 and PhotoQ 1.8.

I have gone through each step.
- Image Directory is setup as wp-content.
- Batch Uploads is checked (enabled).
all these options saved. But "the fun part" was not at all fun for me :(. When I tried to Add photos to Queue, It showed as if the images were loaded with progress bars. But after entering the common info I clicked "Enter Info>>" and "Save Batch Info>>" buttons. But the screen still shows "Queue empty, why not upload some photos?". I tried since morning with no luck. I even removed the Batch Upload option. Still it didn't work. But I got a different error message.
"The file upload failed with the following error: Unable to create directory C:\wamp\www\heysri\blog/C:/wamp/www/heysri/blog/wp-content/qdir. Is its parent directory writable by the server?.".
Not very sure why/how did the path copied twice. I have my wordpress folder "blog" under website heysri ((i.e. C:\wamp\www\heysri\blog). The qdir was created in wp-content but with no files. I am able to create files/folders in this directory. PLEASE HELP!! I really want to make my plog (photo-log) work!!

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Regards

We use the "All in One Gallery" to display posted pics together in a separate gallery. However, it only works with pics in the media library.

Hi !

I was just wondering, what were the reasons to choose to move the description of the photos to a custom field and inserting an IMG tag into the main post field instead of going the YAPB way : keep the description in the main post field and just save the image URL in a custom field (which is already done in photoq) and let the theme handle the formatting around the image ?
