			<title>whoismanu on "I am sorry for my long absence"</title>
			<link>http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/topic/i-am-sorry-for-my-long-absence#post-1338</link>

			<description>&#60;p&#62;First of all I would like to say that I am sorry for my long absence without even leaving a note. I just noticed that some people even started to worry about me, which I am even more sorry about.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;So what happened? Essentially, I moved to a new city and I started a new job. I had all my gear locked up in a storage space for some time and had a first assignment abroad with only very limited time at my hands. Just before, I worked hard on the v2.0 beta and I hoped I could finish it before moving. This was unfortunately not the case, there were just too many loose ends. Why did I not leave a note for your guys? Well I do not really have a good excuse to this one. I guess I just thought I'll do it soon and suddenly I realized it had been six months that I haven't been on my site anymore.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I realize that this must have been a very frustrating experience for many of my users. I also realize that I have lost some of your trust.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;So what are my plans for the future of this plugin? I would like to continue supporting PhotoQ. After all I have invested a lot of my time into it over the past few years. However, the last months have clearly shown me that I will not be able to put as much time into it as I used to and I would like to be transparent about that. I don't have a 100% clear plan yet but the priority should for sure be to get you guys a working version again. What is also likely, is that I will have to cut down on direct user support on this forum, which had started to eat more and more of my time. Further possibilities include making the code more open to collaborative development by hosting it elsewhere. Any ideas and suggestions from your side on this topic are of course very welcome.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Manuel

			<description>&#60;p&#62;Hi !&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I was just wondering, what were the reasons to choose to move the description of the photos to a custom field and inserting an IMG tag into the main post field instead of going the YAPB way : keep the description in the main post field and just save the image URL in a custom field (which is already done in photoq) and let the theme handle the formatting around the image ?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Being a developer, I'm just being curious, no offense

			<title>whoismanu on "Read This Before You Post!"</title>

			<description>&#60;p&#62;It would be nice if you could stick to the following guidelines when posting on this forum. Thanks.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;To save me (and you!) a lot of time that is better spent improving PhotoQ please do at least the following before asking for support or reporting an error:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;ul&#62;
&#60;li&#62;please read the &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.whoismanu.com/photoq-wordpress-photoblog-plugin/#troubles&#34;&#62;troubleshooting section&#60;/a&#62; of the product you use&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62;please read the &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.whoismanu.com/photoq-wordpress-photoblog-plugin/#requirements&#34;&#62;requirements&#60;/a&#62; of the product you use&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62;please &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/search.php&#34;&#62;search this forum&#60;/a&#62; to see if a similar topic already exists&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;/ul&#62;
&#60;p&#62;In order to be able to help you, people need at least to know the versions of Wordpress and PhotoQ you are using, your browser/platform combination, whether it works with batch uploads disabled and of course the potential error message you are getting. If you get an error message of any kind, it might also be helpful to know what you were trying to do just before you got the error message.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If I am able to confirm a bug that you reported, I will tag the corresponding topic with &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/tags/confirmed&#34;&#62;[confirmed]&#60;/a&#62;. Once a new PhotoQ version that corrects the bug is released, I will change the tag to &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/tags/fixed-version&#34;&#62;[fixed-versionnumber]&#60;/a&#62;.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Similarly, I mark features that I plan to include in the near future with &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/tags/todo&#34;&#62;[todo]&#60;/a&#62;. Once a new PhotoQ version that implements the feature is released, I will change the tag to &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.whoismanu.com/forum/tags/done-version&#34;&#62;[done-versionnumber]&#60;/a&#62;.
