PhotoQ Wordpress Photoblog Plugin 1.6 for WordPress 2.7
December 12th, 2008
This update of PhotoQ makes the plugin compatible with WordPress 2.7. Note that it will not work with older WordPress versions, so update WordPress first.
Also note that if you are using the iQ2 Photoblog Theme, you have to update iQ2 as well.
List of Changes
- PhotoQ now has its own page: http://www.whoismanu.com/photoq-wordpress-photoblog-plugin/
- PhotoQ is now compatible with WordPress 2.7.
- PhotoQ should now also work with Flash Player 10.
- Auto titles have been improved. Parts of the file name matching a definable regular expression can now be automatically removed.
- Admin thumb sizes can now be varied through a new option.
- Fixed bugs with Canon EXIF maker notes, e.g. those from Canon 5d (thanks to shunz for pointing this out and providing test images).
- PhotoQ is now nicer to your web server: it is now only loaded in the admin section = less load on web server when users view your site (thanks to Jesse for bringing this to my attention).

Just wanted to say <strong>thanks</strong> for the quick update for WP2.7. It works well and I’m back posting photos.
Klaus says:
Great job, Manu! Works beautifully. Had trouble finding the upload page first, until I saw it under the Page tab. Everything works – and I do love the FTP option – that’s my kind of thing.
Just one (not directly related ) question.
Has anything changed, that the little CSS snippet, you gave me to center the images by default in the post no longer works? Some of my latest post are aligned left again, without having made any changes.
Other than that – happy as a clam!
Cheers, Klaus
Klaus thinks:
Thanks for the pointer about me being a tad backwards. ;) I figured out what made me think that there still is a centering problem. It’s left aligned, when looking at the post in the editor.
Now – this one I had to publish manually, since the cron job didn’t work. I forgot however to place the new wimpq-cronpost.php into the WP root. That was probably it. Will see tomorrow.
Cheers, Klaus
