PhotoQ WordPress Photoblog Plugin Update 1.2.6

This is only a small fix that makes PhotoQ 1.2 compatible with WordPress 2.6. Only perform the update if you are using WordPress 2.6 or higher it probably won’t work with WordPress 2.5.1.

Sorry, no new features this time. I am currently rewriting PhotoQ, so stay tuned for a major upgrade with lots of exciting new features…

Thanks for the great plugin! PhotoQ is excellent.

I think there may be a bug in 1.2.6. I get JavaScript errors when trying to re-order posts in the queue. I’m running WordPress 2.6 and PhotoQ 1.2.6 in Firefox 3.

    dave,

thanks for your comment. good to hear that you like photoq. bad to hear that it doesn’t work anymore ;-)

i just retried with the following setting: photoq 1.2.6, wordpress 2.6, firefox 3 (mac os x). for me it works.

could you clear your browser cache and try again? if this doesn’t help we’ll try something else.

Great work, it means a lot that your plugin will be 2.6 compatible. I love the plugin.

Btw, will it be possible to set the zend compability off in future version? I need another plugin that fatals because of zend compability = on. (simplepie)

    work work work. :)

And installing a real zend optimizer did the trick for me. :D

First of all, this is a great plugin! I have really enjoyed using it.

Currently I have the plugin installed and working. I have to use the pseudo-cron job to post daily. It works fine most of the time. However, sometimes, I check the site and instead of seeing the post for the day, I see this entry:

Warning: preg_replace(): Unknown modifier ’0′ in /usr/home/sites/www.therybaks.com/web/wp-content/plugins/whoismanu-photoq/classes/PhotoQ.php on line 2183

I then have to delete the post, readd the pic to the queue with no title or desc, move it to the top of the queue and post it, then go back in and manually edit the title and desc.

Do you have any ideas as to what might be causing this? If you need more info, let me know!

    tim,

sorry for the late reply, even plugin authors sometimes go on vacation ;-). do you happen to have the title, description of a post that caused problems? i guess it might be due to some special characters in title / description that are not handled properly by photoq. thanks.

No sorry. I deleted and reposted it. I bet I changed the text as well. I will pay attention to that the next time I see one.

On a related note, I noticed this has started showing up at the very bottom of my page. It’s more an annoyance than anything, the plugin still seems to function just fine:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: date_timezone_get() in /usr/home/sites/www.therybaks.com/web/wp-content/plugins/whoismanu-photoq/classes/PhotoQ.php on line 1651

Any ideas on what is causing this? Obviously is says it is trying to call date_timezone_get(), but it isn’t defined. I don’t think I have ever touched the PhotoQ.php file.

    I really appreciate the help!

    Tim thinks:

As a follow up to your reply. I managed to replicate the error on my site that I originally posted about. It seems that if I put an apostrophe (‘) in the Title field, the error shows up. Take the apostrophe out, no issue.

Is this something that is only affecting me? Is there something I can change to keep this from happening?
